Logan – Caliban is locked up, and they won’t let him out.
In what will probably be the darkest X-Men movie to date, Logan will see Wolvie and Professor X in a lot of tough spots. From the looks of this new image, they won’t be the only ones.
Empire Magazine (via X-Men Films) recently released this picture of mutant hunting Morlock Caliban behind bars, and not looking to particularly happy about it. No details where released about how he got there or who put him there, but it’s pretty safe to say those diabolical folks at Transigen where probably behind it. Transigen is a mysterious organization that’s reportedly experimenting on mutants in Logan. Its members include head of security Donald Pierce (played by Boyd Holbrook) and surgical head Zander Rice (played by Richard E. Grant), i.e. the third Wolverine’s two main villains.
Also, check out director James Mangold as he talks about how he’s taking a different approach with this film as compared to other “superhero” movies.
Set in 2024, Logan and Professor Charles Xavier must cope with the loss of the X-Men at the hands of a corporation led by Nathaniel Essex. With Logan’s healing abilities slowly fading and Xavier’s Alzheimer’s hampering his memory, Logan must defeat Essex with the help of a young girl named Laura Kinney, a female clone of Wolverine.
Directed by Mangold and starring Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Stephen Merchant, Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant and many others, Logan hits theaters on March 3, 2017.
